I owe him much of my love for anime.

When I was just a kid, his work introduced me into this world of complex characters, sad and tragic stories, beautiful scenes and scattered wisdom that is called anime.

Couldn’t wait each sunday afternoon to watch Captain Harlock and Starzinger (which was based on the Chinese Buddhist classic Journey to the West, which has spawned also Dragonball and which, incidentally, set me on a course to learn more and more about Chinese and Japanese culture that I had followed since I was six or seven years old). Can’t wait today to feel the pain and the pleasure of living an anime kind of life.

And he loves cats as much as I do. And strong, slender, tragic women…

She’s smart, kinky, and full of surprises -some of them weird, some of them wonderful (I guess).

And I love the weird and the wonderful!

Besides, she smokes (I like women who smoke!).

And then, she lives in Paris… We will always have Paris, somebody said to me not that long ago…

I loved his work…
Until i watched Brothers Grimm.
Kind of a badly directed Sleepy Hollow vaguely reminiscent of The Adventures of Baron Munchaussen.
And Matt Damon doesnt help either!

Sadly Time Bandits and Twelve Monkeys seem so far away now…

he seems to be quite open-minded and funny, but also very deep.
and I like the “Eat Life!” avatar!

First, 2046; second, House of Flying Daggers; third, she’s beautiful and sweet and sexy… a girl you’d like to love and hug and kiss every sunday morning.

In quite an unusual conversation, he brought some light very easily, straight to the point. Then I wandered in some of his entries, his goals, his website, and I was very pleased to see this cean of “interestingness”, as the Flickrians say. Y tengo que habar Espa~nol un poco, tambien.

...reading out loud a story that he loves; singing along to a favourite song with his eyes close and his face transfigured; watching anime with me in his old bedroom; talking passionately about someone he admires, about his grandfather; laughing heartily in the company of friends.
He sowed so many things in my soul, that now, years after we first met, they’re still in full bloom…

Every time I read him I get caught by his wit, his vast knowledge of the history of ideas and his powerful mind.

He taught me you can do philosophy without being obscure. And that’s badly needed, nowadays…

And then, he studied with both Wittgenstein and Popper…! I would like to ask him what really happened with Wittgenstein’s poker!

She can show you the deeper layers of life just by watching at the moon.

so, you cant help but let het get closer to your heart!
